I purchased this bike still in the crate new in 1987 at Richmond Kawasaki in California about an hour from my home and have enjoyed owning this incredible piece of history since then. I now have no time or space for it & am in business for myself & could really use the $ for working capitol.

The bike is 20+ years old & is not perfect but easily could be again.If I was rating this bike on a scale from 1-10 ( 10= museum, 1=junk) I would

call it a very strong 7 at least. I am the only rider/ owner & still have the clean original title in my name with registration currently kept on "non-op" status with ca. DMV

( NO penalties/problems). I recently put in a new battery & some fresh fuel & oil and the bike fired right up & ran well as it always has. I would say the bike could be ridden anywhere "as-is" however due to the age of all the rubber hoses,etc I would suggest a very strong once over prior to an extensive ride such as cross country. The tires are Metzlers and in good condition approx 70% remaining. Chain & sprockets like new with very rare factory turbo only chain. This most recent time I pulled it out of storage the bike has slight hiccups @ idle as if ther may be a small vacuum leak...? The paint you see in the pictures is 100% original & has light scuffs in a few places but still shines nicely. There is some texture arrising from beneath the paint on the gas tank (too small to see in pics)that has slowly been showing up for years but the tank has NO RUST inside or elsewhere on the bike as it has always been stored indoors in sunny California. I also have the original seat that goes with the bike.
